The perspective

Experience inside
the organization.

Robert’s work brings together legal advice, governance, and the practical responsibilities of managing risk and compliance. He has advised physician leaders and boards, developed oversight processes, and worked with management to put programs into operation.

His legal and business education informs an approach centered on informed decisions: understanding the objective, the available options, the legal framework, and the risks the business is prepared to accept.

Robert’s healthcare experience includes physician-owned medical groups, integrated delivery, and value-based care. His governance work includes employee-owned companies, benefit companies, and B Corps, where ownership and purpose affect the decisions leaders make. His private practice has also served construction businesses. He is licensed to practice law in Oregon and Washington.
